The star of Galloway is evident from the very beginning, a gorgeous spicy fresh hesperide blend made from the peels of a melange of juicy citrus fruits, equal parts invigorating and fiercely masculine. A heart of earthy iris keeps us grounded in the crags and glens of Scotland, while a drydown of sexy musk and not too heavy amber gives backbone and longevity. Like the horse that bears its name, Galloway will always get the job done, no matter the terrain.

I've tried every PDM now many times, and my two favorites are Galloway and Kalan. Galloway is easily the most forgettable of the entire line if you compare the first 20 minutes to pretty much every other PDM. The opening is sharp, peppery, citrusy, and ambery - an overall impression not unlike an aggressively clean sporting goods store, with almost a ballistic rubber/plastic type of vibe (amber and pepper together do that to my nose). Few people are going to be wowed on first impression, HOWEVER: there is something deep and magical lurking in the dry down here. The most masculine bed of musk and orris, elevating a calming orange blossom throughout as the sharp intro slowly fades the full 6-8 hours. This profile is both intimate and masculine, while also emanating an aura of power and professionalism. It's my go-to work fragrance as an attorney in a law office. I think Galloway is the most underrated fragrance PDM offers and it's so sad to see how many fragrance reviewers sleep on this one. Anyone comparing this to the much cheaper Lalique white (which I also love - Tamarind galore!) simply hasn't worn Galloway long enough to let it mature into its magic. There's a night and day difference between these fragrances, but a quick whiff of them on a testing strip will rarely let you see that.
Nice scent but I can buy a bottle of something else for 20 bucks and smell the same.
